Google plans for free VOIP
Google is gearing up to offer free VOIP (Voice Over IP) telephone system. This is the same broadband based technology some of the telephone companies now offer as a standard service for anywhere from $30 to $50 per month. VOIP technology is a low cost solution to the current analog phone lines. Earlier in the news, the company started investigating some of the “dark fiber”. Fiber optic lines which are laid and ready to use, but are currently unused, stretch for thousands of miles all over US. More news from timesonline.co.uk.
